The MacBook Air has been the best-selling laptop in the world for years, and the M3 version takes things even further. After three months of daily use, here is our verdict.
Design — 9/10
The MacBook Air M3 retains the same wedge-free design introduced with the M2 model. At just 1.24 kg, it is effortless to carry. The Midnight color is gorgeous but shows fingerprints easily — Starlight is our preferred choice.
Performance — 9/10
The M3 chip is a meaningful upgrade over the M2. It handles 4K video editing in Final Cut Pro, compiles code quickly, and runs multiple browser tabs without breaking a sweat. The 16GB base RAM (upgraded from 8GB) makes a big difference in real-world performance.
Display — 8/10
The 13.6" Liquid Retina display is sharp and color-accurate. It gets bright enough for most indoor environments. We wish Apple would bring ProMotion (120Hz) to the Air, but the 60Hz panel is still perfectly smooth for productivity.
Battery Life — 10/10
Apple claims 18 hours, and we consistently got 15-16 hours of real-world use. This is the laptop you can take to class or the office without packing a charger. Truly all-day battery life.
Keyboard & Trackpad — 9/10
The keyboard is comfortable with good travel, and the trackpad is the best in the industry. Force Touch is responsive and precise.
Value — 9/10
At RWF 1,350,000, the MacBook Air M3 offers phenomenal value. You get premium build quality, class-leading performance, and all-day battery life.
Verdict
The MacBook Air M3 is the best laptop for the vast majority of people. Unless you need dedicated GPU performance for gaming or a larger screen, this is the one to buy.
